Shatta Wale, a dancehall artist, has been chosen by Ghanaian comedian SDK Dele to perform with him on the remix of his popular Amapiano song “Cameraman.” SDK Dele is well-known for his internet pranks.

After the song was posted online, SDK Dele, who had made an unexpected foray into the music business with his unintentional hit song Amapiano, experienced tremendous growth in popularity.

One of his humorous sketches that demonstrated how South Africans produce their characteristic Amapiano sounds included the song as one of its featured songs.

The sketch captured the attention of the audience, who begged SDK to release the whole song.

Overwhelmed by the sudden demand, SDK Dele recently spoke about his experience in an interview with Hitz FM.

“We were just doing a skit, something to make people laugh and move on to the next one,” he said. “However, after I finished, the pressure to release the song grew to be unbearable. Musicians began phoning me and requesting to hop on the song since it was “on fire.”

The up-and-coming rapper claims that despite competition from other artists, he made a deliberate choice to work with Shatta Wale because of his initial support.

Funny enough, he was the only artist to support me when I released the song, SDK Dele said. He recorded a video in his home while dancing to the music and put it online. This is a hit, man, he even came to my DMs to support me. Continue your wonderful work. Even if it’s a remix, come to my place and let’s make the music. Mummy is looking after you.

Currently, SDK Dele and Shatta Wale are getting ready for their remix collaboration.

He completed the remix and released it to Tiktok, Facebook, and other platforms. “Shoutout to Shatta Wale,” he said.

The unexpected alliance between the comedian and the renowned Ghanaian artist has sparked excitement among fans, who eagerly anticipate the release of the revamped version of ‘Cameraman.’
