Efya Nokturnal, a Ghanaian Neo singer, has backtracked on remarks she made in the past about not knowing Blakk Rasta, a fellow performer and broadcaster.

The event had led to friction between the two, but Efya has seized the chance to put things right and mend fences with the radio host.

Efya, who was responding to inquiries on Asempa FM in Accra, expressed regret for her remarks criticizing the reggae artist by saying that he wrote amusing tunes.

“I will never go through life not knowing him. He will always be a part of my daily life. She said, “I respect him for his work and everything he does.

The ‘Devil in Me’ singer claimed it was a case of mistaken identity and expressed sorry for her actions.

“You know what I mistook him for someone else that’s why and it’s okay and I don’t want to talk about that or make it deeper,” she continued.

Efya was questioned about her acquaintance with Blakk Rasta on February 2, 2023, during an interview with GHone TV.

She said that she didn’t know him, including his personality and his works, in her initial reaction.

But as the host started singing “Barack Obama,” a well-known song by Blakk Rasta, Efya noticed the name seemed familiar.

Efya’s change of heart caused Blakk Rasta, who had initially taken offense at her remark about his songs being humorous, to respond more favorably.
