Piesie Esther, the most well-known gospel artist, is hopeful that she will win this year’s VGMA despite competing against Sarkodie, Camidoh, Black Sherrif, Stonebwoy, King Promise, and KiDi.
In an appearance on UTV’s Showbiz, Piesie Esther expressed her conviction that her long-term efforts merited the night’s top prize, the Artiste of the Year honor.

The ‘Waye me yie’ singer is confident that her faith will keep her awake as the winner through the night, but she will be content even if she doesn’t take home any prizes that day.
“I believe and have faith that I will pick up the ultimate award, however, if I don’t pick any awards, I will still be grateful to God for at least getting the recognition. It will hurt if I don’t win an award but I’m hopeful things will turn out good in the end”
Piesie Esther received seven nominations for the VGMAs.
