The Minority leadership in Parliament has undergone a significant change.
The National Democratic Congress’s (NDC’s) present leadership has undergone extensive transition.
As the new Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has replaced Haruna Iddrisu, according to the party.
Unhappy NDC legislators have already referred to the current unfolding as a “coup d’etat.”
Kofi Armah Boah, an Ellembelle MP, will take over for James Klutse Avedzi as the Deputy Minority Leader.
According to a statement from the NDC General Secretary Fifi Kwetey, Ahmed Ibrahim of Banda and Comfort Doyo Ghansah of Ada would serve as Kwame Agbodza’s deputies as Chief Whip for the opposition.
The party statement continued, “The new leadership would be entrusted with recommending important changes in the Ranking membership to Headquarters of the party for approval.”
However, the party did not go into detail on why the changes were made.
