July 23, 2022 comes with a great hope and inspiration to the Upper East music industry as Happy Man Bitters in collaboration with One Love Entertainment host CEO of Sammy Flex Tv in a creative seminar on the theme “How to create and sell our music”.

The said event took place at the Upper East regional capital, Bolgatanga at exactly 2 PM at Tap Hotel Conference Room.

Mr Samuel Atuobi Baah popularly known as Sammy Flex was who was the guest speaker for the occasion did hammered a lot on the theme of the occasion with so much tips and techniques that music stars from the region could adopt to sell themselves and their craft beyond the borders of the Upper East.

He was much particular about the digitization of music by artists and their management so that the monopoly which the traditional media have enjoyed for all this while could stop. He cited Shatta Wale as one of the big wigs of the Ghanaian music scene who has established himself very well without the traditional media and that musicians from the Upper East wouldn’t regret if they also follow the same trend.

Social media has even advance to a high level and keeps advancing day in day out and now, we have the likes of TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat which will help them attain such levels devoid of the traditional media.

“Shatta Wale has always indicated that he doesn’t need the media and it’s true because he has been able to build a following online and he easily gets his stuff to them online than walking or driving through traffic to get his stuff on the traditional”, he stated.

He advised that artistes getting their music to the traditional Media which has been the norm for most artists up here might only limit them to their comfort zone but establishing an online presence may help shoot you up to boost their status.

“Getting your craft to the traditional media May limit you to your comfort zone but your digital and online presence sells you to the world”, he further revealed.

He further advised that building a brand for yourself on social media isn’t that easy but with constant engagement with fans, you are likely to get there with time. So artists who came to the seminar were advised to constantly post on social media and they wouldn’t necessarily need the traditional media just like Shatta Wale.

“We sit here and for the whole day has not posted anything on social, how will you grow? Develop a habit of constantly engaging your fans on social media and you will not necessarily need the traditional like Shatta Wale”, he encouraged.
