Twenty-two persons were arrested For Flogging Youth Over Sex Tape in Wa.
Twenty-two (22) of the people who took part in meting out the corporal punishment (flogging) to the youth over the leaked sex tape have been arrested.
The Upper West Regional Police Command arrested three (3) persons yesterday, Wednesday, June 1, 2022, who were in connection with the inhuman act.
The three suspects include the person who brought the victims to the Chief Palace and two sub-chiefs.
However, on June 2, 2022, the Upper West Regional Police Commander, DCOP Peter Ndekugri had told Berla Mundi on Tv3’s ‘New Day’ show that 19 additional persons have been arrested, bringing the number to 22 persons.
According to the Police Commander, the next step of the Police is to take the perpetrators to the Court, meanwhile, the investigation is ongoing to make sure they bring every perpetrator to book.

We understand that the Overlord of the Waala Traditional Area didn’t order for such punishment to be meted out like it was earlier speculated.
