Former Wa central constituency secretary of NPP, Iddrisu Alhassan Bomison in a move to rebuild a strong NPP have organized a Eid-ul-fitr Thanksgiving and post-Ramadan get together celebration at his residence in Napogbakole, Wa.
The event, held to strategize and rejuvenate the party base following the 2024 election defeat, attended by all 31 polling station executives in the constituency, former government appointees, constituency and regional leadership, and dedicated party members from across the region.
During the event, Mr. Bomison made an official declaration of his intention to run for the NPP Wa Central Constituency Chairmanship when the time comes. He called on all party members present to support his bid, emphasizing the importance of working together to strengthen the party’s grassroots base and reclaim electoral success in the future.
“When the time comes, I, Bomison, leveraging your support, will pick a form to contest as NPP Wa Central Constituency Chairman,” he confidently declared.
The event sparked lively discussions about the future direction of the NPP in the upper west region and the steps needed to strengthen the party in preparation for upcoming elections.
Alhaji Abdul Hamid Osman currently holds the position of Wa Central Constituency Chairperson for the NPP. However, it remains uncertain whether he will seek re-election or otherwise.
Who is Iddrisu Bomison?
Iddrisu Alhassan Bomison is a dedicated patriot who has committed much of his years to ensuring the NPP makes significant inroads in the Wa Central Constituency and the Upper West Region. Having served the party in various capacities, including Wa Central Constituency Secretary from 2008 to 2018, Bomison has deep roots in the NPP.
He is also an influential member of the upper west NPP Communication Team and has been a consistent voice for the party across the Upper West Region. His active presence on radio stations to defend and propagate the party’s message has made him a prominent figure in regional politics.
