On New Year’s Day 2025, the Sagu Yipaala Connect Homecoming second edition took center stage, drawing a large crowd from all walks of life, including Sagir in the diaspora who returned home to celebrate their rich cultural heritage. This annual event is a vibrant celebration that fosters unity and love while promoting the cultural values of the Sagu community.
The Sagu Yipaala Connect is designed to bring people together, both locally and from abroad, to reconnect with their roots and contribute to the development of the community. The Guest of Honour for the event, Honorable A. Walid Jnr., who doubles as Assemblyman for the area , took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the chiefs and elders of the Sagu community for their unwavering support.
