In a tragic turn of events, two prominent NPP communicators from the Upper West Region, Baba Waala and Iddrisu Muslim, known as ET Mensah Wa, were involved in a fatal car accident on Thursday afternoon. The accident occurred near Lilixia in the Sissala East Constituency as the two were returning from fulfilling party duties.
The incident claimed the life of ET Mensah, who served as the former treasurer for the Wa Central Constituency. He succumbed to his injuries shortly after being admitted to the Tumu Municipal Hospital. His passing has sent shockwaves through the local NPP community and the upper west region at large as he was well-regarded for his dedication and passion for the party.
Baba Waala, who was also injured in the accident, is currently in critical condition. Following initial treatment at the Tumu Municipal Hospital, he was transferred to the Upper West Regional Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Supporters, party members, and well-wishers have been sending prayers and words of support for his recovery.
This tragic accident has left the NPP community and the broader Upper West Region in mourning.
The burial rites for ET Mensah Wa is currently underway at his hometown in Kperisi, a suburb of Wa Municipality.
