The NPP parliamentary candidate for Wa Central, Hajia Humu Awudu, has shared her plans for using the MP Common Fund to benefit the Wa Central constituents, should she be elected as MP on December 7th.

During a recent community engagement in Jonga, she emphasized her commitment to prioritizing support for the less privileged, educational assistance, and the empowerment of local women entrepreneurs.

Hajia Humu highlighted the strides made by the NPP government over the past eight years, including achievements like the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) program, borehole installations, job creation, and the tarring of the Wa-Jonga road. She then explained her vision for leveraging the MP Common Fund to uplift the community further.

Speaking to the audience, she said, “The MP Common Fund is allocated by the central government to all MPs to carry out development projects in their constituencies. If elected, I will commit this fund to help the less privileged, particularly students who have completed Free SHS but are unable to pursue further education due to financial challenges. Additionally, part of the fund will support women in small-scale businesses.”

Hajia Humu shared her role in creating job opportunities in Wa Central, even without holding an MP position, and vowed to expand these efforts if given the mandate. “I’ve been working as your employment ministry for the past eight years, supporting many people in our constituency. I will do even more if given the nod as MP,” she stated confidently.

In conclusion, Hajia Humu urged the people of Wa Central to support her and the NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for continued progress and community-focused leadership.
