The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education-Ghana (PRINCOF) has announced a refund of feeding grants for Level 400 students for the 1st semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. In an official letter, the total refund amount for each eligible student has been set at GH₵870.
The breakdown of the refund is as follows:
- First Release: 2 months (30 days) at GH₵6.50 per day, totaling GH₵390.
- Second Release: 2 months (30 days) at GH₵8.00 per day, totaling GH₵480.
PRINCOF has advised all principals of public colleges of education to ensure that students’ accounts are credited with the refund. However, this will only be done after any outstanding student bills—such as congregation fees, transcript fees, and attestation charges—are fully settled.
The letter was signed by Dr. Samuel Addae-Boateng, the General Secretary of PRINCOF, with copies sent to the Director-General, GTEC, and the National President, TTAG.
This move is a significant relief for students as the feeding grant refund is intended to help cover essential costs for the academic year. Colleges are expected to follow through promptly to ensure a smooth refund process for the students.
