A machete battle broke out in Twifo Abodom in the Central Region after someone allegedly tried to steal someone’s girlfriend during a wake keeping. Seven people were hurt.
The Western Region’s Wassa East District’s Wassa Hemanso youth and those from Twifo Abodom engaged in combat.

The Twifo Abodom teenagers allegedly got into a heated argument with the other youth group when they attended a vigil (wake-keeping) at Wassa Hemanso.
A boy from Twifo Abodom who was dancing with his girlfriend was slapped by an unknown Wassa Hemanso teenager at the ceremony where some people took to the dance floor.
The victim returned to Twifo Abodom in the Central area to inform the youth in his community about the assault on him and to prepare for retaliation.
